Basic Varieties Of Greeting Cards

Greeting card is a card people use to convey messages of love, gratitude, congratulations and sympathy. Greeting cards are used in many countries as a way to send holiday greetings and maintain contact with friends and family members who live far away. There are three basic varieties of greeting cards:

1.Store-bought

This type of greeting cards can be purchased at the nearest stationery store and grocery stores. This is the most expensive type of greeting cards compared to others. The cost of a card depends on its features and its quality as well as the brand.

2.Custom-made

This type of greeting cards can be made at home or at a card shop. Custom-made cards are inexpensive and easy to make; they are also special since they are made with love and special attention in mind. People can choose whatever images, color of their choice and add special words that will convey the message perfectly.

3.Occasion-based

This is the most common type of greeting cards. These cards are appropriate for special occasions such as Mother’s Day, birthdays, and anniversaries. Some people prefer buying store-bought greeting cards while others prefer custom-made cards and occasion-based cards.

4.Delivered by post offices

This type of greeting card can be purchased at the post office, which will deliver it to the postal receiver at a designated date and time. Some post offices also provide service in which they send the greeting cards to recipients directly without giving them a chance to refuse it, if the sender specifies so. Some people would rather not purchase store-bought greeting cards because of lack of personalization, so for this reason more people prefer mailed greetings cards instead.

5.Digital greeting cards

Digital greeting cards are common among kids and teenagers since they send them to friends via email. Digital greeting cards are made in the form of digital images that can be printed and given to people like a normal greeting card. Some even prefer sending audios and videos instead of just plain text which shows the popularity of digital greetings among the younger generation.
